The TrekArt Contest is held every month. In April 2005 the theme was “Trek Universe Ads” and I entered the contest after months of absence. Read more about the Glommer at Memory Alpha.

Learn more about the glommer. Having posted this, I may want to thank Star Trek Animated for making me interested in animated trek.

Love it, and funny :D

I had trouble reading the smaller texts thou. Especially the one with * . I would lighten that orange color a bit..

Klaus

very good, but I agree a different font might be in order... funny stuff!

HortaVorta

Allow 4-6 week for tribble reduction...Ha!

I too agree you want something less ornate for your footnote text--possibly sans-serif.

Nifty.

dubeau

You should include a special offer for the Klingons :)

After which, they will be no tribble at all :p

Kazeite

Change background color to white, make it black&white, and it should be just fine :)

HortaVorta

^^^ For Kail and Masao's project, certainly, but there's no particular need to do so for the contest. :)

Alidar Jarok: Heh heh.

Thank you all very much as for the comments:

- I've tried a light orange, but it doesn't look that good, so I switched back to original colour...

- and tried a couple of fonts without serifs (not uploaded the image yet), and I originally had that in mind, but thought too many fonts wouldn't look that good

- a Klingon version might come as well, had thought of that as well ;)

- this is the advert for magazines, not newspapers :p

That's actually a valid concern. Three different typefaces are considered the normal max in print ads, though size and other aspects can vary.

I'd like to see it! I can imagine the skew.

Yup!

I think you only need to change the font for the bottom small print. That font is very difficult to read when that small. A small non serif font would do fine. So youget no more than 2.

Intelligence

Oh well, I prepared this very early in the morning and didn't find the time to post an update until now!

Here is the new version with a modified fine print

and also a black and white version, which needs heavy rework because of the shadows :S
