Schedule 2006/07I thought that you might be interested in seeing my daily time schedule. I wanted to do that some time ago, but I only found the time now. The following table shows lectures and tutorials that I attend during my study of mathematics. I haven't included the time I spend at university to solve my exercises.
Explanations» Lectures are bold - Tutorials in italic - Seminars/Plena are plain - (Brackets) denote lectures I do not/cannot attend All subjects are in the format 4+2, which means that I have four hours of lectures and two hours of tutorials in which we present the solutions of our exercice papers. Statistics II after having attended the Statistics II and I lecture I hear Statistics II for a second time, because the content is no longer about non-parametrics but multivariance. Additionally to that lecture I attend the Seminar Probability Modelling though there is no real connection between the two. M'n'P stands for Measure and Propability Theory, which is only abbreviated in daily speak. (Though it is M-und-W in German.) I attended that lecture in my fifth semester already, but decided to hear it again (much like Statistics II) as it will be one of my exam subjects and the professor from 2005 is no longer at the university. As a student in the seventh semester I was contracted to give lessons to other students. I have a tutorium in the 'service lecture' Mathematik 1 - PWings (Mathematics 1 for production and industrial engineers) as well as Höhere Mathematik 3 - Physiker und E-Techniker (Higher Mathematics 3 for physicists and electrical engineering technicians). The StugA (Stoo-gah) is the abbreviation for StudiengangsAusschuss, which represents the students of the Mathematical faculty in the academic politics. I was elected into the StugA in 2004/2005 semester and am taking care of the new StugA website and was responsible of the faculty newspaper. Every week we have to hand in exercice papers which are a major criterion if we receive the certificate of a passed lecture. Fortunately I no longer need to hand in these papers in time, I only correct those in the above mentioned tutorials I teach. On wednesday, thursday, or friday afternoon I have a job from time to time, though which day actually depends on computer place vacancy in the office or simple need for an additional hand.
