Wrong Star Trek Canon

There are quite a few errors that so called canon contains these drive me mad constantly. I hope to expand this list very soon.

  • Lieutenant Kelowitz
» Enterprise crewmember Kelowitz is always credited as Lieutenant Commander however this is not consistent with on screen evidence and not supported by dialogue either.
  • Australia and World Government
» Almost every Star Trek database does claim that Australia was the last state to join the United Earth government, this is a complete false interpretation of the given dialogue.
  • The Constitution class registries
» The ever recurring question if Star Trek registries make sense is explained away with claiming that even during the time of TOS no visible scheme was present. However this is not true. Matt Jeffries, the designer of the most famous space vessel, intented that all vessels started with 17...
  • Lieutenant or Cadet Saavik?
» The first article in a series of articles dealing with several rank errors. The basis for this is my assumption that Saavik was a commissioned officer already and not a cadet during the events of "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan".
  • Romulans and Warp Drive
» One of the topics which is most controverse one. Though I'm in the camp which believes the Romulans did have warp drive. (rough layout)
  • Transwarp – A failure?
» Everybody claims that transwarp was a failure, but what was transwarp?
  • TNG Admirals
» Another interpretation of the admiral ranks shown in TNG Season 1.
  • More Than One Starfleet Academy
» This article cites information visible in TNG that there exists more than one Academy.
  • Miscellaneous Topics
» In this section everything is listed that doesn't justify an own article.
