Different Star Trek Timelines

This site does present the result of the investigations of the History as told in the Star Trek Series. There were—as many do not know—several attempts to give a realistic summary of all events throughout the time.

Star Trek Time Line

by Chuck Graham (1975)

This Timeline is nothing more than a rough draft of Star Trek Events. The obvious error is the late invention of the Warp drive, but it does settle Captain Kirk's famous five years in the 2260s, more...

A History of the Federation

by Geoffrey Mandel (1977)

Published in a Star Trek Poster Book this timeline presents an overview of important events including the Kzinti Wars. The assumption of the late first contact dates—dates are given from 2090 to 2100—of the later Federation allies seem to be a bit out of range, as the same source states that Earth vessels have already travelled to the next galaxy arm, but have not visited the 10-16 light-year distant home stars. Yet again the five year mission is in the 2260s, more... To read the "Article about the Federation", go here.

Star Trek Spaceflight Chronology

by Stan & Fred Goldstein (1980)

This chronology was published as a single sold book and does contain information—from 1980-2188—neither established on screen nor in the dropped lines of the stories. The SFC gives quite a lot of information, but it is based on one single line from the TOS episode "Space Seed" and therefor the whole story told is erroneous: Kirk seeked for new life since 2208. But despite this major error the book presents dozends of new ships that were only briefly referred to, more...

Chronology of unknown origin

This chronology was presented to be the Spaceflight Chronology, supposely because of the location of Kirk's five year mission, more...

FASA Chronology

For "Star Trek: The Role Playing Game" by FASA that was very popular in the 1980s most rule books did came with a chronological overview. These dates were based on the Spaceflight Chronology dating scheme. In addition the dates were given in stardate scheme C/YYMM.DD. Recently I got a copy of the original printed file. If I find the time, you will be able to read this one too...

Keyevents of Exploration

startrek.com (2001-2005)

The recent attempt to give the audience of the new series—Enterprise—an overview of the History until the launch date of Enterprise (our universe and the fictional one), due to the character of Star Trek's internet page some content of this page is regarded as canon, even though it does not reflect the on-screen evidences. Read the document online at startrek.com

Federation Spaceflight Chronology

In 2007 Richard E. Mandel compiled a set of pdf documents which depict Federation history in detail. Originally released as BitTorrents these are available at K7, more...
